BIOGRAPHY
Ageliki Makris, born in Piraeus, studied graphic arts at the Athenian Technological Institute (Doxiadis’ School). She later moved to America and Scotland where she attended open classes in Art. Ageliki Makris has worked as a cartoonist for major newspapers and magazines. Moreover, she has illustrated a number of children’s books, being also the author of five of them. Her sculptures and paintings have appeared in group exhibitions in Greece and Japan and her work can be found in collections worldwide. Also, her work is reported in the Lexicon of Greek Artists (Publisher: Melissa, 1999).
