BIOGRAPHY
Christos Riganas was born in Kalamata, Greece in 1944. In 1963 he entered the
Hellenic School of Fine Arts and studied Sculpture until
1968. After graduation, he remained in Athens where he
worked on his Art until 1980 when he returned to his
hometown. Since then, he has lived and worked in
Kalamata. Many of his works can be found in the National
Gallery, in the Ministry of Culture as well as in several
private collections in both Greece and Abroad. Among other Exhibitions
he also participated in the following: "Pan Hellenic"
(1971, 73, 87) ."For the Preservation of the
Acropolis" (1978) . "Open Air" Exhibition.
The Permanent Exhibition Center of the Society of Artists
(1980, 81, 84). 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Biennale of
Sculpture at the Skyronion Museum (1981, 83, 85, 87).
