01 · What the call wants

Smart Social Economy Model in Tourism

Community-led

Local communities

Communities should identify challenges, co-design solutions and participate meaningfully in implementation.

Sustainable tourism

Local value

The model should generate durable social, economic and territorial benefits for residents and visitors.

Transnational

Test and transfer

Approaches should be tested, evaluated and capable of knowledge transfer or replication.

02 · What EURAN proposes

ART ASSOCIATIONS AS LOCAL CULTURAL HUBS

EURAN proposes to explore how established art associations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden can function as local cultural connectors within selected long-distance trail territories. These associations already connect people interested in art with local artists, exhibitions, galleries and cultural activity. The project would examine how such existing community structures can connect culture with tourism territories and contribute to a transferable European model.

03 · Why EURAN

A pre-existing cultural network

Experience

Scandinavian art associations

EURAN has almost a decade of historical experience working with established art associations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Outreach

Specialised network

EURAN is reactivating its specialised network of relevant art associations for this targeted European opportunity.

Project origination

From concepts to pilots

EURAN develops cultural and cross-industry concepts into structured projects and pilot propositions.

04 · Who EURAN is seeking

Established art associations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden

Community connection

Ability to engage members and local communities around visual art and cultural activity.

Local cultural knowledge

Knowledge of artists, galleries, exhibition spaces and other cultural resources.

Territorial & tourism connection

Interest in exploring links between culture, local identity, trails and sustainable tourism.

Pilot participation

Willingness to contribute to testing and evaluation.

Knowledge exchange

Willingness to share experience with other participating territories.

05 · Why this is interesting

From local art community to European cultural tourism model

The proposition does not seek to build another cultural network from zero. It explores how existing grassroots art communities can become local connectors between culture, communities and tourism territories, while creating a basis for transnational learning and potentially transferable practice.
